Concetta Passione, who says she has lived in Rutgers Houses since 1964, was served an eviction notice for 'breach of rules.' The Housing Authority believes Passione secretly lives in Italy while her 73-year-old son unlawfully resides in her apartment.
Reminds of the case about a year ago where a landlord tried to evict a rent stabilized tenant, claiming that she really lived elsewhere, based largely on the super low electricity bills for her unit.
It went to court, and she convinced the judge that her inexpensive bills were due to the fact that she ate a ton of sushi, which requires no power....
Good, i hope they tear down ALL of the pj's throughout the five boroughs. They can relocate all the residents to the suburbs which has the space, and just rebuild three story mini projects where they can have fun killing each other without bothering hard working conservative people who understand that PAYING TAXES IS NOT A BAD THING! LOl
Like , Kingston and Nassau counties have more than enough space to house them. The suburbs is the NEW hood lol
It's pretty obvious she doesn't really live there and that the son doesn't need public housing.I hope they get her out and the space can go to someone who really needs it.

It is highly likely that her 73 year old son "really needs it."

Oyster Bay, Bronxville, and Chappauqua have lined up to receive them. Even New Jersey is eager with Upper Saddle River and Rumson rarin' to go...perhaps Deal for those who like the beach?
She arrived in the US in 1954 and never learned English. How does she take frequent trips to Italy?? Airline flights are quite expensive.
The whole welfare, section 8, WIC, etc needs to be revised. A lot of people abusing it. The middle class are always getting facked by the rich and poor.

Living free in a welfare project while flying back and forth to Italy.
What a joke.
Half of these residents in the projects are stealing money from the government. Many have working family members living with them in the apartment so they are no more income eligible to have the free apartment. Others live on and off.
These projects are a massive cost to city state and federal governments and Everywhere they built projects - those communities were destroyed and became slum neighborhoods.
