Ventilation stinks in the Lincoln Tunnel: BUT it is only 1 mile long. How long does it take a decent biker to go 1 mile, 3-5 minutes?
One probably breathes in less pollution speeding through with a bike than stuck in traffic in the Ford Explorer.

Yep, you can bike or walk across the George Washington Bridge. There is some really great Korean food waiting for you in Fort Lee across the bridge. Go about further south on the New Jersey side and you can get to Mitsuwa in Edgewater where you can buy some Japanese groceries and goods and a great bowl of ramen at Santouka.

If you like biking you should definitely go over there and bike up River Road or Route 9 (the highway shoulder is an official bike route)...these are popular with the spandex types but good for more casual riders too. Very beautiful.
