Thank you so much everyone. I got the point each of you made. Appreciate every piece of advice! Especially laughed reading BlakeJones' post #8 (and it makes practical sense)!

Really though,
Is making a fuss and getting all aggravated worth saving a few dollar over?

I'm thinking about number 1 here, not the landlord.

I watch my pennies but I also know the internal cost of conflict. I believe in "picking my battles" and making sure the WIN is worth the fight.

just some good info, before I owned, I rented in the same building, when you are nice to the LL, trust me, they will bend over backwards to be nice right back. I have never lived anywhere where I dodnt get along with the LL.

Even back in the day, the old Italian Lady LL used to let me take 15 dollars off the rent in the summer for mowing the grass. She would also let me buy flowers for the front and re-imburse me, cause I made it look nice.

to try to get over on a LL for a few dollars is so not worth it, one day you might need something and the LL might not be so able to help you.

alos, whi wants to live where there is a constant LL tenant battle, doesn't sound appealing to me.
