Definitely more non-native whites compared to Pre-Guiliani days, but OPs observation is like 20 years too late.

Seems less white to me. Maybe you need to get out more.

However, that said, of course young people flood in from all over.

Not even close and actually reverse.. Biggest population by ethnic group for NYC wasn't Cauasians. It is actually Asians and Hispanics. Both groups grew by about 30% for NYC from 2000 to 2010 us census. So your neighbors should be more of Asians and Hispanics.

NYC has long been a minority-majority city the situation here is that people who live in the lily white areas
don't get out and about much... I know some people from the upper east side who have never been to
Brooklyn. If you live, work and shop in that part of town you would not notice it as much as a place like
Brooklyn.

It's been going that trend for years. Now your seeing that spill over into once middle class white areas in Brooklyn and Queens.

In the 1980 census,Manhattan was 59% white.In the 2010 census,Manhattan was 57.5 % white. It really hasn't changed much at all.

Brooklyn,by the way, was 56% white in 1980 and is less than 43% white now.

It always helps to consult with actual statistics when people start talking about their impressions.
