I have been thinking about this a lot lately. My life requires me now to work insane hours. By the time I am done with work, there is little to no time for dating. Realistically, I could probably only go on one or two dates per week at this point. I have met men who say they will take care of this problem by letting me live with them rent-free or at a reduced rate. But I never had any real connection with any of them. How do you find love when you are so tied down in your work? Is it even possible? Just wondered what your experiences are.

When you meet someone and there's a strong spark nothing will keep you from seeing each other.
It's that simple. I laugh when I hear most young and non mature adults asking "how do I know if this person likes me" my answer is in the last 8 words of the above paragraph. That's how you know.

Your view is very transient perspective. Their are many reasons to live or stay in NYC besides love or career. As for finding love? I think you have been in NYC for too short. From my perspective is that it takes time to get to know someone or somebody. But because we live in a fast pace hectic city like NY, people do not take time to get to know one another and jump into relationships with people for certain reasons, wow she has a big butt or nice rack, ladies wow he is really good looking, or he makes a lot of money. Personality and other characteristics go out the window. Also trust is another issue, last people always assume something better is waiting around the corner. All i got to say is that their is plenty of man sharing going on around here in NYC and women are looking for their next free meal ticket.

The first thing is when you get on an elevator put away your iphone or your droid--- if you see a guy who has done the same that's the one to be interested in. I love it when 30 or 20 somethings talk about their career. The likelyhood is that you will change "careers" at least 2 or 3 times in your life.

They can also find love online using Seeking Arrangement and Arrangement Finder. It's fast and convenient, just like NYC!

If you're into each other, you'll make it work. My husband and I work opposite shifts and I work every other weekend. We still have to make time to see each other or else we'll never see each other/go on dates/etc.
