If you a looking for more of a "cute" brunch experience, I always like 100 acres on McDougal in Soho. They have the best cinnamon rolls!

Benny's Burrito's has brunch ? Worth noting.
Chocolat is the worst "restaurant" that has ever opened in Manhattan.
It is only interesting to ponder how it is that they remain open.
If you were thinking of Harlem, perhaps Lido, okay if not great.

YES tell us about brunches in Harlem and for how much ? I used to go up there on my bike on a sunday and buy a plate from whoever was outside the church selling.
Don't tell me Manas though. I can't believe people are falling for that by the pound korean style soul food. That's not what should food should be about.

Oh, I won't. It was once much better than it is now. Did I mention that I waited in line a few months ago for nearly 30 minutes at the cashier.
Maison Harlem (St. Nicholas and 127th) is good, it is over-priced but with little competition.
If you do go, try not to sit on the door/windows side - it gets cold.
And Lido IS sometimes good, probably one of the better choices on FDB. Brunch is from the menu, with a charge for bottomless mimosas, $15 I think ...? This is typical pricing at most of the FDB places, Settipani (Lenox) might be a bit cheaper but I did not care for the food.
There is Vinateria, on FDB, around $20 without a drink inclusion that I can recall. About the same as Lido food-wise, often good, seldom great.
People like Melba's, we thought it was rather expensive for what you get and the service is very often terrible.

When I go on vacation I look forward to these types of buffets. Does anybody know anything about hotel buffets ?
The closest I've come to enjoy a buffet in NYC were in the indian joints in jackson heights. Some obviously better than others though.

Very good but most are expensive like the Waldorf Astoria and the Mandarin Oriental. Don't know your budget but for $35 there is a lovely brunch buffet with jazz at The Kitano. Also the Tribeca Grand is under $30 and is beautiful.

Depending on the crowd, unlimited drinks with brunch is my fav. I usually pull those from pulsd.com for the great discounts, but I think they are limited to one per table, two people many times. An old fallback for me is Dos Caminos brunch (not unlimited).

I do not have the sense that they are currently making a fortune.
In fact, I am surprised they are still in business.

If you're on the West side of Harlem, there's Riverbank Grill at Riverbank State Park, just over the Hudson. They're pretty nice, and you can get unlimited drinks with your brunch for $12. I've been three times or so, and it's always been pretty empty, but the service leaves much to be desired.

I'm checking this out now and it seems like a cool website. Kind of like Groupon, but specifically for New York.

How is the food ? Never been.
I was just walking near Lenox and 129th, saw Lenox Coffee (just off Lenox, corner). It looked very busy for brunch, might be good.
Forgot to mention Red Rooster, which we (and many others) have found over-priced and scarcely worth it, often terrible service and "eh" food. There is another place just above, west side of Lenox, Corner Social (?). I liked the food there in general, did not go for brunch. It is a very loud place. We sat outside and therefore only go when we can do so.
