Hi all. I am a lifelong New Yorker, but I don't enjoy getting out for brunch with the girls too often. However, I'm hosting out-of-area guests this Sunday, and I'd like to take them to a nice brunch spot in Manhattan. Suggestions?
What are you looking for? I go on brunch dates pretty often, and as a twenty something, having unlimited drinks is a big seller.
I've really wanted to try Calle Ocho, as their brunches come with unlimited Sangria, which I love (and they have 8 different kinds), but you need to make a reservation about two weeks in advance.
On the East side, I've gone to Parlor Steakhouse quite a few times. Their brunches are about $28 or so per dish, and come with 5 drinks (but they don't really count, I've had six before).
On the West side, I liked Cotta, although I've only been there once, but I'm going again this Sunday. It's surprisingly big on the inside, and IIRC, they have unlimited drinks for $8.

Agree about Calle Ocho and 7A - we probably prefer the latter.
Benny's Burrito's has brunch ? Worth noting.
Chocolat is the worst "restaurant" that has ever opened in Manhattan.
It is only interesting to ponder how it is that they remain open.
If you were thinking of Harlem, perhaps Lido, okay if not great.
