After about a week in office, Mayor de Blasio has the city buzzing with his unique brand of leadership. Shoveling snow in his jeans after a big storm? Bloomberg woud have been on a beach in Antigua. de Blasio is just warming up. By the end of summer, Bills name will be thrown around for the 2016 Presidency. Hope he sticks around NY for a while before he bolts to Pennsylvania Ave

City is still filthy and housing is out of control expensive.
Cops are lazy, schools need more money, and the transit system is dilapidated as hell.
Shoveling snow is useless. Bloomberg sucked, but we should be begging him to donate billions to the city he served.

He is paid a mayor's salary for doing sanitation work like shoveling snow? Good deal for him then.

Barely a week and you already know he's the best mayor in the history of NYC? Shoveling snow in jeans is leadership?
Let's see how the city will change.

See NY Times article. And let's not forget that Bloomberg's annual salary was $1.

Oh please, you make me wanna throw up. Lol at shoveling snow as if that makes you a good mayor. Smh.
Its all for show. A publicity stunt. He wants to win the public over and then....BAM! He raises your taxes. You just wait. And if you think the higher taxes will be only for the rich, you just wait and you'll see your taxes raised as well.
Real wealthy people don't pay taxes or very little. They are smart and know how to legally protect their wealth from the tax man via trusts and entities.
The people that will get hit are the middle class and working poor. If you have a W2, you will get hit with higher taxes. It's that simple.
And any tax increases to business will get passed along to the consumer via higher prices. Any increase in property taxes gets passed along to the tenant via higher rents. See how it works?
One can't demand lower rents while at the same time demand taxes to be increased on the rich and/or businesses. They go hand in hand. Taxes are NEVER a good thing and it boggles my mind when I see people demanding tax increases for the rich/businesses. Their lack of education is the reason why they do it. If they only knew the truth on who ultimately pays the taxes, they would keep their mouths shut.
