Does anyone have experience with the reverse commute to New Jersey via the GW Bridge? I know Lincoln and Holland are nightmarish in the evenings coming back to Manhattan, but have heard the GW is usually okay. What's traffic like on the bridge around 715am and 5pm? Upper or lower level generally better? I am contemplating commuting from the Upper West Side to Nutley. Any tips will help!

I did it for about 1 year and while it was somewhat better it still was a challenge both ways. I could not believe that so many people were doing the reverse commute.
IMHO less persons take the GWB because many don't want to pay the NJT or GSP tolls all the way up to or down from the thing. If you are already up that way and or don't mind then that is a different story. But if you're anywhere near the tunnels or below sometimes you have to do a cost benefit analysis. *LOL*
Only time one will take the GWB is if traffic is *REALLY* bad at either of the tunnels.
