just wondering..

do they separate the 20% from the 80% in 80/20 apartment buildings?
I can imagine they're not reserving any of the biggest and bestest apartments for affordable residents because they still have to charge most people market rate rent.. but is it painfully obvious that there are affordable residents in the building? are the peasants kept below deck Titanic style??
i guess they probably just reserve the apartments with no views & smaller layouts?

lol does anyone know?

There was an article a while ago about a new development somewhere in Manhattan that had gone so far as to create as separate entrance for the 20%ers, and they weren't supposed to use the main entrance to the building.

edit: Here it is.

I honestly wouldnt mind being one of those 20% ers. Sounds like a good deal to live in a nice area for cheap.

I know of a few buildings that wont let the 20% use all the amenities and some charge extra than regular residents.

This type of discrimination is disgusting and backwards.
