New Jersey: Toxic waste dump

Staten Island: Same

Bronx: poorest congressional district in the united states filled with ghetto, seedy under belly, the only borough you don't want to live in.
Brooklyn: mostly broken with areas being gentrified at good buys, up and coming mini manhattan.
Manhattan: the real new york, jew york, zoo york, shopping, fashion, art, broadway, immoral, city that never sleeps, skyscrapers, the greedy 1% world headquarters, rat race, equal to LA where second to NY they spend the most time.
Staten Island: where the brooklynites migrated to, suburban sprawl, family friendly, not unlike new jersey, not really considered part of new york city, stuck in the 80's party scene.
Queens: where everyone lives in run down but still habitable places for cheap, middle class family area, safe area, multicultural area.
Manhattan = Super Rich, Rich, Rent Control lucky ones, modern, cleaner, Gentrifying, housing too expensive
Brooklyn = Cooler place to live, Hipster-land, stroller-land, old White New Yorker still thinking of leaving, Ghetto places to avoid, Big Black population, Gentrification, Lots of Jews, Not Manhattan
Queens = Growing Asian population, Working class Hispanics, relatively safe, not too Ghetto, waterfront gentrification, not too exciting borough
Bronx = Ghetto people but not so Ghetto, Upper Middle Class people on the Hills, quality of life getting better, redevelopment for housing the poor, Bronx Zoo & botanical Gardens
Staten Island = Ex-Brooklynites, boring, too suburban, nobody cares for it, relative safe
Manhattan...pretentious wannabees who will never make it in life living in some rent controlled rat filled cubicle and bragging they live in a great city
Interesting how we stereotype queens as Archie bunker types yet it is the most diverse boro in the city.
In the 1970s, when ALL IN THE FAMILY was on the air, Queens was indeed home to a good share of Archie Bunker types. Ironic that Queens became the most multiracial of the boroughs.
