i have had RCN now for almost 10 years and it is now almost $160 per month. I bundle internet, phone, and TV. I only watch channels 13, 21, CUNY, and 143. I can't afford that much money. But after reading all the negative comments about Time-Warner I don't know what to do.

Do you actually use your home phone? If not, just drop it. More and more people only have a cell phone nowadays.

I don't know what those channels are, but if they're basic networks, you can pick them up in high def with a simple antenna. No need for the cable service.

I pay $45 a month for my Internet service with RCN, and I pay $8 a month each for Hulu and Netflix, no cable.

RCN is much better in terms of service and pricing.

I had Time Warner for three years and their customer service people are hoodrats who are completely unprofessional and can't even speak proper English. If you have to return equipment at one of their retail locations you will wait inside the store for at least an hour. The people working there are worse than the DMV. Lazy slugs.

I had many billing and taxation issues with Time Warner also, and their channel lineup stinks. I had to file a claim with the Better Business Bureau to get a refund.

With RCN, I simply call once a year and ask them if they have any promotions or offers an they always upgrade my service at almost no additional charge, and their tech support and customer service people are prompt and courteous.
