I think I saw a similar picture of some place on the West Side of Manhattan, but I don't recall where (meaning I don't have a link).
In any case, I too think this is much ado about nothing.

To me this smells of entitlement on behalf of the people who live on UES (not all of them of course). If the snow isn't completely cleared they moan. Give me a break!!!

I'm no fan of DeBlasio, but I think this is all BS also. People love to complain about everything.
On the other hand, Bloomberg's failure during the 2010 Blizzard was an epic cluster F.

Also keep in mind that up until 24 hrs before the storm began the city was suppose to only get 1-3 inches according to the "weather gods"...

So having admitted "mistakes" were made the City is over compensating on the UES. *LOL*
Plows have been passing all day long scrapping black top as much of the snow has long either melted or otherwise removed from the middle of the street.
Would think it is time to start collecting some of this rubbish that has been sitting since Tuesday. Normal collection day was Monday which was a holiday (no collection), and now that DSNY does not come until the next scheduled day that should have been Wednesday, but obviously that didn't happen. They've only just caught up with all the trash including recycling that wasn't collected due to the Christmas/New Year's holidays.

We'll be backed up for at least 2 weeks. Deal with it. Can't do two operations at the same time.
The only mistakes with the snow was the city giving any sort of voice or say to the general public. Bunch of misinformed, cry baby, wannabe experts on **** they have ZERO clue about.

You mean there is more to it than push snow to side of road and put garbage in back of truck? Not sure what citizens of what city should just deal with it, but NYers don't tend to just sit there silent.
