I have all these nice silver necklaces 950 Silver from Peru. I never wear them because they have sentimental value and I don't want them ripped off my neck.
I stopped wearing gold when the economy tanked and started wearing silver. Now silver is still too rich because the economy is that bad.
Enter stainless steel. I see a great looking chain for the price of what I paid for my silver chain years ago !
Anybody wear stainless steel jewelry ? Does it look as good as silver...worth the purchase ?
You can't live life afraid something me be taken from you or being robbed. What's the point of having things if you don't use/wear them. Yah if you take the train home at 3am maybe hide the jewelry under your coat. But as easily as someone can steal if off you someone can break in and rob it from you.
good points....I know people who wear 5 & 6 figure jewelry.....silver is small beans. To be frank, there are higher odds of someone stealing those iphones reported all over the media

I had my phone ripped out of my hand all the while the bag I'm carrying was worth twice as much.
I have never even heard of someone stealing silver. I wear 1/2k diamond earrings every day.
Occasionally I will turn my wedding ring around to hide the diamond. Usually only when it's late at night and I feel like I'm not in as populated an area. But I wouldn't not wear my jewelry.
I really don't worry about it unless it's late at night, in which case I simply take the jewelry off and put it in my bag. I also don't flash my iPod, iPhone, MacBook Air or iPad. I try to look as poor as humanly possible and cab it if my instincts tell me to.

That is the only jewelry I have/wear and I do the same thing.
I would also wear my jewelry because what is the point in having it otherwise? (Then again, I'm not much of a jewelry gal and I've never asked for it.)
