I've been told that all Brooklyn people hate New Jersey for some reason. I'm pretty sure this is one-way hate too. I haven't lived in New Jersey in years. I've been living in various locales across the country (Florida, California, Caribbean, etc). But when I meet someone that's from Brooklyn originally and I tell them that I'm originally from New Jersey, they always have the same completely disgusted reaction. This reaction is usually really vocal, almost like I verbally attacked them or something.
I've met people from the whole planet and this only comes from people from Brooklyn. Did something happen? Did I miss something?
People from Brooklyn hate going to NJ. I used to live in Brooklyn and I hate going to NJ but I kept going to NJ because all of the stores and places I like to go are in NJ such as Great Adventures or Atlantic city.
NJ has surpassed Brooklyn in most ways. All Brooklyn has going for itself is being a "part of NYC". But even in that regard, I would say Queens has surpassed Brooklyn.
If you take any NJ County and pit against Brooklyn, you will see NJ county having better schools, lower cost of living, more space for your buck, more educated people, better athletics, better shopping, easier to take road trips, just better overall living, and we have the better beaches.
I don't think they all hate it, since half of them end up moving there anyway.
