Not all those guys beating drums are "African" per se; more than a handful are Brazilian, though may be of said ancestry.

Know this because they would often congregate in Central Park around the band shell area to play and so certain "dance" moves that looked like kick boxing to me. *LOL*

As you can imagine the residents of Fifth Avenue and CPW in ear shot of this noise were *NOT* happy. Frequently you'd see squad cars of NYPD arrive to break things up.

at least its just buckets that hes beating. i read something yesterday where someone on the subway was beating more than buckets...

Purchase a firefighter pass alarm device. Every time he starts banging on the trash cans, open your window and and press the alarm button on the pass. After about three times, he'll get the message.

Fire with fire....one annoying sound deserves another.
