I wouldn't worry about it so much at this point. No one knows what they're going to do until they actually do it. Just sit tight like the rest of us because February 18th is only 10 days away.

has anyone from the new list taken the cdL road test yet. on their own .how many under list #2000 I'm sure that it will speed up the hiring prosces. But it very expensive for the class and then the road test then if you fail it , It gets very expensiveit could cost up to $1500 Depending on how many lesson you take. And how long it takes you to pass.

Once I get my cdl photo permit in the mail next week I am going to start training at a driving school in Queens. At my own pace and not in a 5 day crash course at Floyd Bennet Field. Good luck guys trying to get a week off from work. What surprises me is that you take the cdl road test the following week after the training, that is quick. Usually you have to wait weeks in advance to schedule a road test appt, even longer during the summer.

Well, i wont have a problem taking off from work.. The sanitation CDL training course is probably your best bet because they only take out 25 per week until it is paid off.Secondly it is good because the Pass % is higher.. Lastly because the process overall is quicker...

when i had passed my road test for my CDL 12 of us went only 2 of us passed it might be better to take it with dsny it took me 2 time to pass the road test the first time out of 12 people that took it with me no one passed so it could run you a lot of money. everyone i know that took it with DSNY had passed if you want to take it on your own good luck.

I passed it yesterday it what not easy but thank god i got it on the first try.
that take a load of your head.My friend was in one of the last groups from the last test and he said that it wasn't to easy either. the only thing is that you have to pay for everything. With dsny they take 25 a week out of pay.

and whoever mentioned that its not going to cost you a big lump sum is right (with DSNY). the training through a private school is ...i believe...hourly (pay for as much as you need) 5, 10, 20 hours etc....that can be as much as 5 or 6 hundred$$ one shot! and that dont include the cost of "renting" their vehicle for the day of road test...thats another $150, plus $40 for DMV appointment

i think it a good idea to find somebody already with a Class-"B" CDL to rent a ryder truck or something to practice with to get familiar with (especially) the airbrakes and its use/operating procedures for PSI and all that crap. ..just to get the "feel" so your not nervous when you first go. But of course .....Yall need to get crackin with your CDL PERMITS!
