I'm currently renting a two bedroom apartment, I'm using the additional bedroom as an office/server room. My neighbor next door to me has been smoking marijuana and the smell has been lingering inside my office room, living room and doorway entrance. This is the second time I've smelt it, but today it became really unbearable and repulsive.
What can I do about my neighbors? The management aren't going to evict them, I know that for sure. They won't listen to me or stop, how do I get rid of these people?
I'm afraid if I call the police, they won't do anything.
I've dealt with this before, including my current building. The hallway often reeks of pot outside of a certain neighbor's apartment. As far as I'm aware, there really isn't much you can do....

Yeah, the police probably can't help you. Smoking inside their own apartment is not a crime. Looks like you have an uphill battle because you said management is on their side. Maybe you can try to get out of the lease and leave?
Maybe you can look at the rules of the building and see if there's anything in there that you can use against them?

It's not that management are on their side, it's that they don't give a f*** about anything, anyone or the general maintenance of the building.
I got a rent increase of $200/mo as well. So I don't plan on staying here long.
I thought it's illegal to smoke 420 in this state? Isn't the smell probable cause for them to go in and fine them?
Well, wait until the smell is really pungent so you know they're completely wasted. Then, VERY QUIETLY, walk out of your apartment and POUND on their door like you're the cops, and get back into your apartment quickly and quietly so they dont' know it was you!
It won't make them stop but it will sure as heck kill their buzz!!!!!
OP, you might find some ideas on this growers forum below. One guy mentioned Citrus Magic as helping, it has activated charcoal as an ingredient. I hate that smell too.
Someone I knew once had such a neighbor. He called 311, I think, but was told that the cops would go only if the neighbor was caught/seen smoking on the spot.
I've been through this too. It was really bad as I had very young children living with me. The neighbor would walk his scottie always with a joint in his hand. I always wondered how the pot was affecting his dog.
