Does anyone know where they list microaparments (<500 sq ft) for rent and for sale?

I heard the average now is, like $2,400/mo. Back in 08' it was $800/mo, but things have changed.

I am still property hunting. This has nothing to do with that. I'm just wondering where I can find these cute Microapartments.

Microaparmtments are more like below 300 sq ft here in US. Less than that in Asia.

300-500 sq ft are basically studio or tiny 1 bedroom.

Microapartments haven't taken off so you'll unlikely to find hardly any on the market. I believe SF has greenlighted it but it hasn't been like that in NYC yet. Mainly because Bloomberg is gone and there is more money to be made by developers to make the units luxury and sell it to the wealthy.

Why dice up 1500 sq ft into 7 or 8 micro units when you can upsell 1500 sq ft much more easily. Not to mention much less overhead cost to make one transaction than 7~8 units to folks of lesser means.

I think 500 Sq Ft is the maximum size for a "Microapartment."

I was thinking more like 75 Sq Ft to 150 Sq Ft.

Are these legal dwellings?

I'm surprised they haven't taken off. They seem great.

They would be completely awesome and allow thousands of younger middle & lower income people like artists and creative types to afford NYC. Current zoning does not allow construction of micro apartments, only one Bloomberg test site in Manhattan was approved.

With DeBozo in charge I wouldn't hold my breath on getting any more approved
