Hi I hope you can help us.

My son just moved to Manhattan (31st & 6th Ave) and my wife and I want to visit him.

We are retired and live in Exton, PA

What is a good but inexpensive way to do it?

Is there a Park & Drive. Years ago we parked just outside of the tunnel and took a bus into the city - that worked out great for us.

We can drive nearly anywhere but want to park in a safe place for up to 2 days.

Thanks so much for your help.

Bob & Elly

Parking is very expensive in Manhattan. I would personally see if you can find any free or cheap parking locations near Philly Amtrak or Greyhound station and take public transport up to Manhattan (should only cost $20 tickets, $35/40 return on bus)

However I don't drive, maybe others can advise you better

There are plenty of Park n Rides outside of Manhattan in the NJ side. See here:

But I agree with anon725 that it's better to get into Philly and take a train or bus up here. You won't be needing your car during your visit, right? So why bother with it? Plus the train or bus will take you to Penn Station or Port Authority, only a ten minute or so walk from where your son is.
