Just would love some input....I am dealing with this now.....and I've tried talking to them but nothing....
They stomp above my head all day and their squeaky floors drive us nuts
Ha I just was thinking to myself geeze the neighbor upstairs sure are loud and active tonight.
But it's just everyday movement/talking going on so I don't say anything. Once they had a party and were really loud with music, stomping, shouting so I went up and said something around 2 am. The party was quiet after that.
You can move, but it's often times not helpful. Last three places of mine over multiple year period all had constant construction noises, walls where I would hear neighbors every night, etc.
Ear plugs and noise machine like others have said, though those won't help you with impact noise as much as with airborne noise. Impact noise is stomping with shoes, for example, where there isn't just a noise to block out, but also vibrations.
And next time, try to live on a top floor. It really is a lot more bearable.

My ear plugs block out stomping noise
