I already posted this in the New York State forum, but think I prob should have posted it here first.
I am currently filling out applications for lottery apartments, and they are asking me how much I pay towards the total of the rent. The only thing is that even though I do have room-mates, they do not really pay any rent since they are related to the landlord. The only person who pays rent is me. I just don't want to put down my share as the total as that might give the false impression that I live all by myself and pay relatively low rent. Something that is not true. Should I just put down $0 in the total section and then what I pay in the my share section? Or should I just approximate what the rent might be? Or am I just worrying to much? I just don't want to hurt my chances of being called in for an interview just because of some stupid technicality.
