In June, I will be subleasing from someone in NY who will be moving out, until the end of their year-long lease term in the end of August.
Although the apartment fits my needs perfectly (size, location, etc), a huge downside is that it is unfurnished. Has anyone done this type of sublease before? I was wondering how hard it would be to find a 3-month internet wifi subscription, a rental for an A/C unit, and utilities for that period as well.
If anyone has any experience with this type of situation or knows of any internet providers that offer this, I would really appreciate some help as this is my first time staying for an extended consecutive period in NYC.
I did a three-month sublet in the summer of 2010. The primary tenant kept the utilities active in his name and just trusted me to pay him what I owed him for the three months I stayed there. Could you arrange something like that? Maybe offer a security deposit (or a bigger security deposit) to insure your cooperation?
