For the past few days, I have been feeling homesick while looking at old family photos. But that isn't really the reason I am thinking about leaving.

My realtor has forwarded me over 50 properties via email, and I haven't found one yet that I am really serious about purchasing or even visiting. But that isn't it either...

I am worried that if I leave NYC, that people will see me as a person who came here and failed, when really that definitely isn't the case. I feel trapped and limited because my only choice I have in most cases is NYC due it's adoption of Bitcoin, however, I have seriously been looking at getting out and I may have found a few institutional buyers, which means I would have real, actual cash money and be free. Free to make choices. Choices that most people don't get at all. Secondly, I work from home, I am not limited my geography to some office space, in that sense I am even more free.

I have built up such a large network of "friends" however all of my close friends don't live on the east coast, and all my old genuine friends are still in SoCal. Recently I have been speaking and chatting with a guy, whose sole intention is to get money out of me, he won't admit, but it's obvious, and it kinda hurts.

I don't smoke anymore, and recently I have been drinking (yeah, don't try and preach me on sainthood) and realized I don't want to go to some horrible club ran by some sketchy guy charging $25 a drink, if anything I want to go to a beach at night with a nice bonfire and enjoy life, not at some pretentious club with superficial people.

I don't know what to say or feel at the moment.

If you want to leave because you want a different life then what you have experienced, or any reason for that matter then what does it matter what others
may think? Its your life, we only get one here and you should live it where you would be happier. People leave places sometimes numerous times in their lives for a variety of reasons.

Never worry about what the masses and your peers might think. Do what's right fir and your family if they are in this equation. Best of luck to you.
