ASAP Mob? French Montana? Those are your best representatives for NYC hip-hop? WOW. They're garbage rappers.

NYC hip hop is garbage. That's why Nas and Jay-Z are still treated like gods.

Until someone worthy shows up, anyway.

This whole new generation post 2010 is just not really representative of real
hip hop. I mean you guys are wearing tight clothes like punk rockers now on
top of all that other weird stuff the media has you doing these days.

That's anti-hip hop, so check yourself.

Didn't know which comment to respond to first...

To sum up... mainstream rap nowadays is trash... brilliant commentary by all of you. Because obviously mainstream has always been where real hip hop was found... . From the days of Run DMC with songs like you talk too much to Diddy in the 90s, to the southern cats who gained fame in the early 2000s like lil jon, 3 6 mafia, etc. Mainstream is and always was garbage...

That said, underground hip hop right now is on fire... And it's not just in NYC but everywhere. Check out Mick Jenkins from Chicago... Not everyone in Chicago bumps drill music just like not everyone up here bumps that garbage French, Asap Rocky junk... (For the record, Asap Mob has some decent artists)
