I believe you got the ticket because you were double parked, nothing to do with alternate side. You can use the case that you were double parked BECAUSE of alternate side, however all that double parking that everyone does for alternate side isnt even allowed. They just let is slide, however they do come out at 10:31 on the dot (around here its 11:30 so they are there at 11:31) on the dot, to give out tickets to anyone who hasnt moved to the other side yet from their double parked spot.
thats why you got the ticket. and youre gonna have to pay it.
