For West Indian food, anywhere from Nostrand and Bergen street on down there's a West Indian restaurant like every 2 blocks.

And I don't know why this is but for some reason there's like 40 Indian restaurants in crown heights, sometimes sitting right next to eachother.

Their cheesecake is just okay, especially when you consider the price. You can find better cheesecake in many dessert bakeries in Brooklyn.

I will say I love Junior's breakfast menu.

Please tell me the best place in NYC to enjoy these foods:

Pizza Slice - Joe's in the West Village (Christopher Squarish on Bleecker)

Steak - The Strip House

Fried Fish - A*Salt & Battery (although if its southern fried catfish it's probably Pies & Thighs)

West Indian food - Don't know

Indian food - Pongia

Cupcake - For something a little different try Baked by Melissa.

Fried Fish

Famous Fish in Harlem, southeast corner of 145th and St. Nicholas Ave, right by the subway stairs for the A,B,C,D. It's little more than a hole in the wall, but damn, they fry some great fish!

Allan's is okay. I prefer Errol's.

It seems like there are 2 PER block running up and down Flatbush Ave, especially west (north?) of the Junction. I could go for some good Jerk chicken and some beef patties washed down with some cold beers!
