Recall the beginning of the year there were some talking here about the increase in crimes during the first week/month of the year as compared to previous year, especially in view of the unusually cold weather.

I just read this NY Times report: Killings Surge in North Bronx, Testing New Police Tactics, and it reminded me of those discussions.

I hope things don't turn worse and worse during this mayoral term.

The article said that violent crime continues to decline everywhere else however.

Those neighborhoods north of the Pelham Parkway neighborhood sound like they could easily go toe to toe with any South Bronx ghetto, and maybe even beat them. And LOL at people here who think these are "Nice, Middle Class Safe neighborhoods".

Maybe De Bozo should worry more about people dying by guns instead of cars on our streets and punishing everyone who drives a car in this city.

Are you kidding KK? I was in town yesterday and it still looked packed...believe it or not, high crime is a passive effective way to drive down rent in nyc so it is a ying yang balance here.
