Dating?? (house, living, gay)

Okay I have been waiting for someone to ask this question, but no one has that I can see.


So I'll do it...for those of you single people, (ladies) how's the dating scene up there?

I don't even know the right words to use to phrase what I'm tryna say here, so I'll just ask, is it doable?

Are there any eligible men up there (black men...okay or even hispanic men, if all else fails!!) Between the ages of let's say 35-45

Gainfully employed, UNMARRIED-UNATTACHED, decent, sane, NOT GAY OR BI, not on drugs...I guess since it's NYC where everything is so expensive I'll have to be flexible if he lives with his momma and he's thirtytwo!!

But is it doable or should I plan on having to bring my own dude with me?

And if it's doable, where does one go to meet said eligible people?

Thankxxx for the info...I did read those threads and WOW!!! Men in NYC really do hate women!!!

But I should have mentioned that for me, sleeping with every man or any man who comes along is not an option...

I am a Christian and as such I really am not living a lifestyle of just hooking up with men for the sake of having sex.

For that to be a part of my life I really do need to be married to the dude.

I know it's not hard to find someone to have sex with...that's never hard. Believe me I already know if I wanted to I could have guys lined up around the block...pick a number...next!!!

But finding a decent person to have a committed monogamous relationship with is really my goal.

I am not desperate and I have plenty to do to fill my time so I am not bored either...it's not for lack of anything else to occupy my time that I am in the market for marriage...

It's really because I honestly desire someone to spend my life with and if I don't get married that leaves lifelong celibacy as my only option........

You know if I don't wanna spend eternity in hell for fornicating all over the place

And as far as looking for a man is concerned...well I wasn't looking for my ex-husband, he came to my house and knocked on my door...and he's been like a wad of gum stuck to the bottom of my life every since.

So I'm thinking, maybe I do need to be a little more proactive in the search this time around.

But judging by what I just read in those posts...I should probably plan on meeting a guy elsewhere.
