Reason I'm interested is reading the report that the ISIS head al-Baghdadi said this to the American captor when he was released 5 years ago: "I'll see you guys in New York". He could mean another attack plan on New York? (Impact on tourism and housing if it becomes real)
A single small scale terrorist event wouldn't do much to affect housing and tourism. However, if there were repeated small scale attacks then yes--it would certainly have an effect. So far, we've been pretty good at stopping these things before they happen for the most part.
I'm very well prepared. I still constantly seek to increase my level or preparedness every day. It's the sheep who should worry god forbid we experience another attack.
Sadly I think it is only a matter of time. De Blasio will be tested for sure.
It's going to happen in midtown or union square. Those are the most obvious areas to hit due to the immense crowds. Although I get the creeps now when I walk through street fairs. My spidey senses tell me places like this are best to avoid.
To be honest I've been creeped out since 9/11. I try not to be around busy areas during rush hour. I also feel uncomfortable walking through Times Square.
So sad but that's reality. I look forward to moving in a few months.
I'm surprised that it hasn't happend yet. Airborne is right, be prepared or suffer the consequences.
How can you be prepared for a bomb going off next to you in a crowd or on a train?
