Ahead of the USA...of course.

But it's moot. We have allowed corporate profits to remove an industry from the U.S/NY/NYC to Bangladesh and Cost Rica because wages are less.

NYC has a bit of the finance empireand when that is fully interneticised...NYC is doomed. Too many people and no industry.

Lmao @no industry and that we are doomed. In that case I feel bad for the United States.

Obviously the fashion industry is much bigger in this city...
How is it bias? Did you not see the link posted up above that states NYC is the fashion Capitol of the world?

And you are also wrong about how people wear their clothes in NYC. People don't wear the same things. So are you telling me that people in the hip hop crowd dress the same as people in the rock crowd? No and top that off with a bunch of people who aren't afraid to wear out their fashion.

Some of the clothes I see some people wear, if you took that to places like Baltimore people would look in confusion. That's why fashion is special in NYC, if you have confidence in what you wear, people will respect you.

Lol you think all of these people are garnering "respect" because you're constantly in new york and surrounded by new yorkers. Wear some of this absurdly overpriced and IMO ugly as sin nonsense in most of the country and people will laugh to themselves at you.

In other words, new yorkers tend to think people will respect them cause....they're new yorkers.

Most people in America are overweight and most men in America dress like toddlers. I don't think "those people" are who OP is talking about. He/She is talking about people who are into things like culture and nice clothes.

The rest of America certainly looks to New York when it comes to fashion. The largest fashion brands in the U.S. are all based in New York City. People read fashion magazines that are based, where? New York City. The fashion elites live where? New York City. Fashion Week in America is where? New York City.

I don't typically pay your post mind because it's always hating on NYC but yet you continue to live here.

Not to mention your last sentence is very false. New Yorkers in general are well respected of their fashion sense outside of NYC. I'm going to Atlanta next month, and that's the only thing Atlanta folk bother me about.

Also you yourself have no fashion sense. You don't need to throw away huge wads of cash to look nice. nice try.

On point as usual.

And it's always good to see a New Yorker who doesn't have a self entitlement attitude.

Take some advice from this guy "available username"

You're talking about garment manufacturing. That isn't fashion. The design and prototype manufacturing are all done here.

Once the pin down the designs and draw up the patterns, they email them to the sweatshops in China, Bangladesh and the Philippines to be cut and sewn. But no one is designing anything out there.

I have to spread more rep. around before I can give you any but EVERYTHING in this post is spot on.

Most people without a fashion sense always seem to think everyone looks/dresses the same.... Ironic.
