Actually she is in roommate from hell situation. (and I suspect she has a lot more in this terrible situation than we hear about)

Small three bedroom, all three "girls" have locks on their doors, sounds like 8th grade drama. Hope to avoid going there at all. What a mess. The communicate, when they do, via text. No one talks to each other.

About the only crash in that hell hole would be a vase crashing against the wall after one of them threw it.

The walk wouldn't be dangerous, but for an outsider I'd imagine it could be uncomfortable (mostly industrial south of 36th ave, definitely desolate at night)

Sorry, we lived in London four years, just say "tube" automatically and was trying to avoid it in the post, but tube slipped in anyway!

And I would think it odd for parents to "crash on the couch" in a city that is known for small apartments and multiple roommate situations. In most instances (unless you live alone with the extra space) I would think it awkward and uncomfortable.

Is it even filmed in Brooklyn? I see no mention of that on the wiki page. Only in Queens. I could be wrong, I just don't see it though...

McDowells is the Wendys on Queens blvd (Elmhurst/Woodside). The girlfriend and manager of McDowells lived in Jamaica Estates, I believe. Eddie Murphy and Arsenio's apartment was filmed in Williamsburg (Hooper st), but think it was supposed to be Jackson Heights.

I think I always thought that that was supposed to be some street in Jamaica. Their apt, the barber shop, all that.

Where do you see that it was filmed in Williamsburg? iMDB or something?
