Is there point applying for SA Trainee positions now.

you'll get called....just have to wait longer. You can't apply to the unionized staff analyst positions, agencies use the lists in rank order. There are non unionized Analyst positions that you can apply and obtain in the interim. That's the point of the civil service test and process.

I would suggest you to take other exams that you qualify for, and aim for higher score.

They might not exhaust the list by after 1500. Three years left of list.
First 400 ppl went fast because some SAT were hired provisonally befoee and now it will go slow. Not sure though amd SA list will out too...
@nybklyn. Yeaa still takin em. Some exams are just more difficult.
I took the Associate Staff Analyst exam on May 30 this year. Does anyone know when I can expect to receive the result? Is it going to be in mail or can I check online?
Thanks.
HI. I took it too and failed. I received a letter about 3 weeks ago. Good luck on yours!
Has anyone received result from NYC May 2015 staff analyst exam? It's been over a year and I still have not received anything (I did not move to a different address).
Thanks.
Hi, I received my score and the list number approximately a month ago by mail. Did not make too good, but test wasn't easy. Seems there are about 800 people passed the test. Also list is not open yet as per 2 weeks ago. If anybody has any information about this one, please share. I can't wait to change my current job!
Thanks.

There's really no way to know any additional information until they call you off the list. Once you have the list number, and you are on the list, you can only wait to be call for an interview. The only thing that you can really prepare at this point is to prepare for the interview, and come up with answer to the question as to why they should hire you over the other candidates that they interview when they do call you.

Yes, I agree, some exams are difficult, so just do what you can. That's why taking different exam might help. You never know which one you might score really high.
