if anyone are fresh to the city, you wont get a pay raise until you serve 2 years anyway.

those with the city will start at a higher rate at SAT

Here's the list to OSA's website w/the current rates of pay for all Analyst titles under the union: OSAunion

Staff Analyst Level I: $45,358, $52,162, $61,754 (minimum new hire, minimum incumbent, and maximum rate) Not sure how they would start one off though...

Only thing I don't like about the SA title is that they are trainers/teachers of curriculum.
U might get a job that u have to make presentations etc..

You can always bomb that interview and go to the next pool if you don't like that job. SA is a very broad title.

Most of them don't need presentations.....to sit at meetings and contribute at meetings is more likely.

Thats correct, however there are some positions that do require presentations. For example, the powerpoint presentation for the new hires is done by someone with a SA title.... and the classroom person in charge of giving you the instructions and administering the city exam has a SA title. I'd say those positions are maybe 10% of the total positions available in the SA hiring pool.

Thanks everyone for sharing information about this job, its very helpful.
Does anybody know what Outstanding Certification process is like?
Is it a regular DCAS investigation with finger imaging? Do they call to your previous or a current employer and what questions do they ask?
As of now for SA they reached 400 and something for Certification. 300 and something are appointed.
