Some of these weirdos use it like 5 times in one post. I've seen it twice in one sentence a few times *ahem G-dale ahem*
I used to use nabe until some regular posters stated they didn't like it. It was easier to type than neighborhood. Especially if using several times in a post.

I refuse to use the word "hood". "Hood" is used a lot to describe non-(not of hispanic origin) Whites, non-Asian neighborhoods, on this forum. Like a bunch of random people people live together in an area and have no relationships. Don't support each other in times of crisis, death, and celebrate good time together. That they are not neighbors. I hate that.

Well it's a good thing it's barely ever used then...

neighborhood

Just timed that with a stopwatch. Took a millisecond or two over one second to type...

Nabe...was able to cut that time down to a third of a millisecond.

I probably can't type as fast as you do. But since it is so offensive I just type out the whole word. So far no one has called me on typing boro as opposed to the correct borough. If anyone is offended on that one. Oh well too bad.
