So the new calendar has Miss March in it which is the first time a female firefighter has been included. If I heard correctly there are only 41 female firefighters in the force. In any case, I think it is great. What are your thoughts on this?

What is there to think about?

The thing was never billed as the FDNY *male* calendar, it just so happened those were the sex that stepped up to model. Guess it took this long to find a female FDNY with not only the *right* body but willing to participate.

In contrast you probably would have to look long and hard to find a decent enough selection to make 12 for the NYPD. Both male and females it seems range from merely stocky/chunky to outright obese. Seems like when foot patrols went down the out of shape rates for NYPD went up.

well, i think it kinda sucks. i want to see all men. If I wanted a girly calendar, I would buy one.

Think about this, say its a all girl calendar that straight men buy, and rightfully so, then one month a mans picture is included, the straight men don't want to see another man, so this is in the same boat.

I want to see hunky hot fireman, not a fire woman, yuck!!! Blech !!!!

So gay men and straight women buying this calendar are not going to like Miss March, yuck!!

I think they should have two calendars; one for girls and one for guys. I disagree with the one girl in the guy calendar.

I am thinking that any female FF worth her salt as a FF probably is not much to look at in a calendar.

Just how many gay men do you see at the PR/signing events for those FDNY calendars? Yes, FDNY and the members that pose are aware statistically some population of gay men must purchase and or have deep interest, but the prime focus at least in theory has always been straight females. It is the Playgirl mentality I suppose but there you are.

She looks like a dude with a wig on. Is she really the "best" they could do?

They need to just leave this type of thing to the fellas.

The FDNY calendars are STRICTLY for gay men.
Okay, 95% for gay men.
Anyone who says otherwise is kidding himself.
