I'm going to experiment with starting a concise thread for NYC-related books, on-going. Maybe people could free free to add any, but try to refrain from wasted space with they "quotes" and such.
I ran across these books, which I never heard of, but I thought would make amusing or interesting gifts:
YOU BETTER WORK- Kai Fikentscher
LOVE SAVES THE DAY- Tim Lawrence
MY LIFE AND THE PARADISE GARAGE- Mel Cheren
Maybe I'm missing something, but those seem like special-interest books focusing on a very narrow field of dance, not broad general interest for anyone who might want to give a New Yorky gift.
