Whats up with that ojt kid who relayed that truck in the bronx(?) by himself. He sounds like a real go getter. Im sure he'll be a chief some day

Supposedly someone got into an accident by himself on OJT... don't know if that's just a rumor or not.

Goodluck to guys starting Monday... As far as the OJT guy there are about 10 different stories I have heard, take your pick lol

Was it a job function that is done otj (training) anyway? Or was it because he was alone? Sux for everybody bringing heat from above.

Your supposed to be paired up with someone that's in the garage already but the foreman wanted to get the work done faster so he sent two relays out at once had the ojt guy doing one which isn't supposed to be done from what they say

Yep, one word...... micromanage. And that usually results in people getting hurt. I work (ed) for a utility, they pulled that **** everyday. I guess no shop stewards around to witness. It's like that everywhere with management trying to squeeze, with heat from up top.

Technically it's fine to have the ojt guy follow a regular guy. You're hired...You're on the job and insured.

But no one does it that way. I can't imagine why he'd care how fast relays got done. I feel like that decision came from someone above him crying truck shortage for the morning lol
