You're not getting less from social security. Its the pension that will be reduced by half of the ss amount. . Shocked that the union didn't fight this harder. . The city was going broke paying nyc pensions for guys retiring in their 40s, but still this is so extreme that i cant help but feel it violates some rule. . This is the only part of tier 6 i think u guys might have a prayer of fighting
correct...i know its less from pension and not social security.....i was stating that the state doesnt have the right to reduce your pension because you draw from social security also.....tier 6 is paying into both funds and should draw what they pay into from both funds
For us tier 6 guys if you stay a sanman your whole career , why would you do truck the last couple of years and kill yourself . Only 15 thousand above base counts and you can make that with snow overtime and night diff. I rather do relays and maybe get a part time job. I will take the promotion test but most supervisors look miserable so I'm very skeptical. I'm happy I got on but we did get the short end of the stick . I have a feeling it's never going to change . Pd and fd have something similar and they aren't changing either.
Um, I took my first sanitation exam last month and I'm still waiting for the result. Did other people get their results already? I haven't receive no mails yet, that means I'm not even on the list? Where can I see my score? I need to at least know that I passed the exam or not..
what are u even saying lol. the list wont be out for at least another 8 months at the minimum, almost 100K applicants, you think they can score that and establish a list in 1 month.....not even close. So just relax, u werent skipped, or "not on the list". give it time like everyone else is....
Hey guys got my protest letter today. It will be 4/10 at 1:30. I wont be in the country because i will be on vacation. Is there anybody from session 2 that will be attending? if so can you post the correct answers in the forum?

You won't leave the protest with all the answers because you won't know the deal with the questions being protested which tends to be several of them lol
I want to know the test results on the sanitation exam on January 7,2015..What can I do to know want happened? Do I have to make a appointment to request a protest to check the answers on my test ..
