How much seniority do you need before you can choose the garage you want to work from?
Depends. You can put in a transfer as soon as they open. If there's an open spot in that garage the seniorest guy who has a transfer in will get it. You get three choices on your transfer so choose wisely cause if you can't get any of them then you stay where you are. Obviously some places (the Bronx) many don't want so it's easy to get in. Other places are tough to get (Staten Island). You can look at a place like Bronx 2 and not only will the bottom guy be from the very the last class hired last year, a few others may be as well. Then you look at a place like SI3 and the very bottom guy will 4 years on in like 5 months.
Which then leads to questions about....do you really want those garages even if you can make them. 4 years somewhere else might get him a steady shift or at least more choices. Instead he'd be the bottom guy, no choices and might end up bouncing around or playing fill in clerk lol

You don't need any seniority to put in a transfer request. A ton of guys are from Staten Island on this job, but they won't make a transfer there until at least they have some time on the job. So if you get sent to the Bronx and you want to cut your commute, put a transfer in to one of the downtown Manhattan garages and put a transfer in to a Brooklyn garage. You'll figure out pretty quickly the garages where you can make money, garages where you have guys beat, and garages where you just want an easier commute.
Heck, after a few weeks, if you don't like where you transfer to, put in another transfer. There's no limit.
If anyone got less than 100 after adding all extra credits, it's not so go9 would probably leave you outside the first 3k
Thats with residency credit. Hoping at least 1 question gets thrown out, would leave me with atleast a 99....outside of 3k would atleast leave a slim chance hopefully.
