We have talke about the growing hotel demands in the Southern Bronx. It is interesting article nonetheless. The area has some of the best transportation in the city but also in the borough. 2456 and BD and lines give quick access to Manhattan. Also for business people and so forth who want to attend yankee games but need to be near Yankee stadium especially for work and traveling can stay in the areas where the hotels are located. The opera hotel in Mott Haven has been a huge it with tourists who are brave enough or open minded in staying in the South Bronx. A generation ago this would never happen. I think the next step would be creating ammenties for these hotels that are in the area. A good example is by West Queens and West Brooklyn which have amenities that cater to tourist needs.
