Just don't park in front of it. May 1st-Oct 31st, YOU WILL BE TOWED! Permit parking only. You must park by fort totten and walk, bike, jog etc.
There is parking on the other side of the pedestrian bridge. But it's limited.

The parking lot by Fort Totten is still closed I believe, but residential parking nearby shouldn't be that difficult. They're building a bathroom next to the parking lot which is taking about 2 years to complete. The best place to park is probably right by the lake in Crocheron Park next to one of the pedestrian bridge. Or if you're coming with a bike or up for a long walk, there's plenty of parking by Oakland lake. It's quite a pleasant bike ride next to the water, I use to do it a few times a week.
And nice pics as always mathjak107.
