So I go to this place for volunteering and I met a lady there. She was nice and we're friends, I think I've known her for a couple of months. We were talking and the conversation just randomly drifted to the topic of school, so she asked me what school I go to and I told her. I didn't think it was that big of a deal because I know her, but then she asked me where it was. I guess she could be just curious, but I'm still a little worried because I don't know her that well. Should I be worried? I didn't tell her what classes I go to or anything and she didn't ask.

Many women will be on guard about telling a man they don't know well where they go to school --or where they work or live for that matter. He could be anything from a harmless flake to a mild annoyance to a psycho killer. But I don't get the feeling that most anybody has that feeling about a woman asking unless they think she's a gold digger or making unwanted lesbian advances. And if she isn't from the city or hasn't been here long she might very well not know where your school is evenif most other people would.

You say you've known this woman for a few months and you are friends at the volunteer job. I think her asking you where you go to school is just small talk. I also don't think it's weird that she asked where the school was. I wouldn't be concerned unless she seems a nutjob. I think she was just being friendly.

It's called conversation. I could name a hundred universities and you probably wouldn't know where all of them are. Maybe she never heard of the school and wondered where it is.
