I have a strange feeling that the tenants moving in at the end of the month are for the completed units while there are probably still a few that new touch ups before they are fully finished.
The lottery is about supplying affordable housing but at the same time, the building is there to make money and collect a check so the longer this gets dragged out, that's months of money the developer isn't collecting.
In my building, certain floors weren't finished yet so the coordinators couldn't show the applicants certain floors. When they we were shown the studio during the open house, we weren't even allowed 2 see the restroom for the studio because it was in shambles. During the open house, there were already some units filled with awarded applicants. I remember being so envious of them.
That's my guess about the ones moving in at the end of the month.
Love2Love, we're you awarded a unit and told that October is the move in date?
Yes we have signed a lease for the 32nd floor of the smaller building with a move in date for October.
I'm moving in this Friday and I was just sent an email asking me to come by to pick up my counter-signed lease and sign a couple of other documents. So maybe you can expect to get your counter-signed lease closer to your move-in date?
Quick question to those who were offered a unit: did you have to pay $50 for an application fee? The original listing on the NYC Housing Connect said 'No Application Fee' so wondering if anyone else paid an application fee.

Does anyone know the actual cost of amenities? I was told $100, but then someone else is saying it goes by room size, and mine would now be $150 for a one bedroom.

Congratulations!! The wait is over. I am hoping they will start the move-ins for Commons building soon as well, at least for the lower floors. However, I am hearing that the hold up is the Certificate of Occupancy, though not exactly sure. Any thoughts?
