Born in Kensington raised in Brighton Beach, 8 years on the upper east side then to NJ to raise the kids. My heart has always remained in NY and now that I've married off the last child, I find myself dreaming of a return to "home." I'm in the city at least monthly as it is. I would prefer to own a 2 bedroom apt and know that Manhattan is well out of reach. I'm thinking back to Brooklyn. I also want to stay away from the neo cool Williamsburg, Bushwick and Bed-Stuy. Really, Bed-Stuy? I sure didn't see that coming. I would like to be within a 5 min walk from a subway line and a half hour subway ride or less into the city. Someplace a single woman would feel and be safe. I'm actually thinking back to Kensington! Full circle indeed! Input would be welcomed.
