Is there anywhere in Manhattan to buy salt water taffy? (shop, location)

By the pound, I mean.

I sometimes buy it elsewhere and bring it back, but never see it here. It's handy as an inexpensive gift, certainly less expensive than decent boxed candy, and kind of festive.

Thanks, Blue Dog, but as I checked the Yelp link (I already don't trust Yelp any more), I see it includes things like a yogurt shop, which I'm pretty sure doesn't sell taffy. I made a mental note of the top place, but it looks boxed and, as I said, I'm hoping to find it by the pound.

And, thanks, Gramercy. (Or if I just say "gramercy," is that enough?) That was a surprise about Economy. I do go there once or twice a year when I'm hoping to find cheap boxed candy as a present, but it never occurred to me about taffy. I'll give them a call.

Here's a hint about Yelp -- if you are only looking for a particular product, type the name of the product into the search box with a NYC location and it will bring up results. Yes, it may bring up results that mention taffy where taffy isn't sold, like someone might have said "wish the place would sell taffy" or "love the taffy flavored froyo"

But if you spend even 5 minutes scanning through the results and briefly reading one review for each result, or even using Yelp only to find the websites of the stores you're interested in, I believe you would find what you're looking for.

The way you wrote this post makes it seem like Bluedog gave you useless info, but the only way it's useless is if you don't use it correctly or don't spend the 5 extra minutes to make it useful for yourself.
