Anybody have any issue with finalizing the apd 5a booklet? It won't let me finalize without putting some things that just don't exist... like an email address for my grandma... ?? It won't accept "n/a" or "none."

Have you tried leaving it blank? I don't remember having this issue, but I also can't recall what I put in for family members who didn't have email addresses.
I had my interview with my investigator last Wednesday. Ot's basically filling out the same damn information again and going through EACH document and question. But if you have all the requested documenta it's easy peasy. The whole thing took 2 hours and I came with wverything needed and thensome.
One guy came with NOTHING and had to fill oit the whole booklet by hand right there.
And be truthful! They have already done nackground and credit checks, so they already know if you've lied.
