I don't like Bla, but he had more political experience than Lhota. IFAIK, Lhota never actually had to run for anything before. Bla had already run and won a couple of races.

Running in and even winning an election doesn't necessarily equate to political experience. Look at DeBlasio's main constituency. They don't exactly demand accountability, discipline, experience or skill when casting votes. It is what one does once elected which determines their true experience. What has DeBlasio ever accomplished? Honest question.

The article doesn't say WHY she was removed. This is the reason why i hate the post. Conveniently leaving out details to give you, the reader with a bias against the mayor the impression that there was some ulterior motive behind this move. It feeds a narrative that only people like you would believe in. No intelligent person is going to read this article and come away thinking he is pro criminal.

This is true, however Lohta has real world experience running major city agencies and had a huge hand in governing during Giuiliani's administration. Why people are blind to that fact is beyond me. If you don't like the man and his politics fine but to deny his vast accomplishments as one of the managers of one the largest city's in the world and one of the largest mass transit agencies is inaccurate.

At the end of the day we are stuck with deBlasio so all of this is a moot point. God willing deBlasio won't turn NYC into another Detriot, but I fear we are already heading down that road. Our only hope to limit deBlaiso's reach is political gridlock and keep him mired in his self inflicted scandals no matter how minuscule. We must use the media against deBlasio. It's a well established fact that the local papers don't like him. He has repeatedly railed against the media and reporters who don't follow his progressive agenda. Eventually deBlasio will crush himself under his own arrogance because he just can't help himself.

So wait, the media's role is not fairness and accuracy in news reporting but to be the extention of the right wing echo chamber? Gee, what a surprise!

Not sure how you came up with that, because it's not what I said.

I'm Latino, Republican, & I live in the Bronx. I really hate the fact that New York, is a Democratic state.
