It's in a crappy part of Bed-Stuy - but at least it's close to the J train, that will hold a little value for renters.

You should give an F (and I know you do). In 10 years he'll be signing that petition to change Malcolm X blvd back to Utica ave.

You're planning on buying a place, renting it for high prices, not inhabiting it yourself for at least 10-15 years and hoping to sell it for a substantial ROI? You and everyone that thinks like you shouldn't exist. Gentrifiers, I swear. Keep your hands off any property outside your native area, and if you do buy and rent, do so for reasonable prices. I am a landlord myself and I don't make money off what I do. I see myself as performing a service for priced out natives that have been victimized by people like you.

"Native area", eh?

Anyway, do keep in mind that you're buying at the absolute peak in terms of real estate prices. The cost of renovation and upkeep will be massive. Don't lose site of how much money 800k is. If it's your intention to own a rental property, you could by an entire block of apartments in another city and probably clear much more per month.

Actually the former name of Malcolm X Boulevard is Reid Avenue.

That's right. You'll still see the signs up at places.
