"Sources said the retired correction officer got into a quarrel with the man and woman on a No. 4 train from Manhattan. The quarrel spilled onto the platform, and the officer shot the man, sources said."
'Police have arrested one of the two men accused of assaulting a retired city correction officer on a subway train Tuesday night, an assault that later led to a deadly shooting.'
Well, from what I heard, those scumbags were provoking the retired CO and it seems the CO felt he had to do something about it. There was a delay in his response but I believe some of us would've reacted similar. The guy had a rap sheet and he is 30 something years old, assaulted him and spit in his face. Sorry but he got what he was asking for.

Put yourself in that situation, I believe anyone in that situation will say, please don't judge me before the investigation is complete. Therefore, I don't think is good to assume whose fault it is at this point. We were not there when that situation happen.
Nice act out I would say.
He got he what he lived for aond rip now. NYC is better off with fewer of these low lives.
I am glad that the other two were not allowed to carry guns. With that type of unstable mentality, the right citizens would have fallen to the wrong one. Job well done CO!
It's now several days later. If seen no new reports on this indicating that the shooter will be charged. If now charges are pressed, I doubt they'll be a public announcement. So at this point, I'm assuming this guy is not going to be charged, and the DA considers it a legal self defense shooting. That could change. But for now this looks like case closed.
